Coming This Fall – A New Focus on Empty Nesters

Hey MIdlife Mama

I’m so excited about what I’ve been preparing to share with you, friends, and so I thought I’d post a quick update for you.

It’s been quite a year of having to recover from broken bones, torn ligaments, and much-needed surgery for my knees. I’ve had a lot of time to consider my writing path and the words I want to share with YOU!

I’ve been processing, praying, and preparing what I believe God has been leading me to share with you and I can’t wait to do so.

For now – I just want you to know that I’m really excited to re-launch some fresh new content for you that will focus on how God uses the seasons of our lives to make us more into the person he has created us to be.

My target audience will be midlifers navigating through empty nest.

Together we will consider the incredible and miraculous way God uses this major life transition to move us closer to his heart, his plan, and his call on our lives.

I believe transition events play a key and monumental role in God’s sovereign plan for our lives. What is essential for us, is to learn how to navigate through these sovereignly designed transitions.

I want to walk with you through your major life transition – and share with you how God used several major life transitions (career, physical, and relational) to lead me closer to his heart, his call, and his purposes.

So – hang in there!  I’ll be introducing this new content this fall (2017).

I’m looking forward to interacting with each and every one of you in the coming months. My hope and pray is that we can learn from each other and encourage each other to become more and more of who God made us to be as women, as writers, as mothers, as wives, as daughters, as sisters, as friends, as businesswomen, and most importantly…as our Savior’s beloved daughters.

Until then,

Let’s enjoy and embrace the journey God has given us to walk – in whatever season of life we find ourselves.

Thanks, friends.

    Dear Betsy,
Your entire website and especially your “Wisdom-Based Blog” are so inspiring and useful for the transitions all of us experience throughout our life. Your artfully crafted words, inspiring scriptural references, beautiful pictures and other images that you include, all come together to weave an amazing and important sail that serves a single purpose–to encourage us to catch the powerful winds of wisdom and unconditional love available from our ONE God who guides all humans during our individual and common career-life journey. This navigation is filled with many daily challenges and opportunities to change, grow and and renew our True Calling(s) across each of our several career-life roles.

Faith is our rudder, and unless we trust in God’s will and guidance to direct us in the course God designed for each of us in our small sailing ships, we will usually experience wandering in circles. The miracle for us is that even in the perceived chaos and despair of those circles that seem to go nowhere, God is still fully present and speaks to all of us in whispers and silence to guide us in the right directions.

We are all created with an abundance of True Self Knowledge. Our main life challenge is to become MORE aware of that magnificence within each of us, and trust that God is with us, Always and In All Ways, and mostly works through others, such as yourself Betsy.

Congrats on your new book and all that you share in your blog as you continue to touch the lives of many. You have a special gift to deeply touch others as you share your own life journey in an authentic way that teaches us how similar we all our as sisters and brothers. I have one suggestion for you to consider Betsy. I appreciate your desire to have women as your main target group, and perhaps you might also continue to write and speak to men as well, as you often share how Jesus speaks to all people through the Holy Spirit, who is fully present in our individual and common journey. We men have lots to learn about the gifts God has shared with us through the women in our lives, and no doubt your blog can help us men become more willing partners in relationship with the women, and men, with whom we interact in our life journey.

I am proud of you Betsy and very happy for you, and wish you and Frank much success with Leader Within and all your wonderful projects. May God bless you and all your family. Warm aloha nui, EdC

So great to hear from you, Ed. I’m deeply humbled by your kind generous words. You are an encouragement to me today in so many ways. I’m excited to begin reaching this demographic of mid-lifers and helping them discover more of who God made them to be…And I so appreciate your comment to consider how I might also reach men – to help them better relate to the women in their lives. I have much to learn myself, but by God’s grace, I feel compelled to reach others to tell of his goodness and grace that has carried me through so many changing seasons of my life. I don’t know if you knew I became a flight attendant in 2012. That’s another big part of my journey that is enabling me to jump deeper into my write life. You are a blessing Ed and I want to thank you for how God has used you in my life to encourage me regarding my own personal perspective and identity. Thank you too, for taking the time to connect. I’m so glad you did! I pray you are well and enjoying life back in Hawaii. Blessings friend. Betsy
